I'm sure we shld know it, but we don't! This is in the garden today - walking around on the lawn catching insects - and sometimes bobbing its tail. I've looked through the book, to no avail. Thanks if you can put us out of our misery!    |

I just saw your location - I might well have seen those very birds as been at Warsash today and saw about 6 wheatears.

Sounds like Rob! I just looked in Richard Carpenter's Wildlife Sightings for last week and it says >
Wheatear – Brownwich (max. 5), Bunny Meadows (max. 5), Chilling (max. 3)...
so I expect the same group is round and about. (Just not sure why we only had the one juvenile - but clearly she enjoyed the very scrubby and un-weededandfeeded area we loosely call lawn!) | | |
