Hello everyone
A couple of weeks ago i had my first ever gold finches feeding from the nijer seed in my garden they seemed to be perfectly happy and where in and around my garden for about an hour or so, unfortunately they have not come back since.

Can anyone tell me why they just won't come back?

At this time of year there's an abundance of natural seed around so they aren't too dependent on artificial sources.

Hi Kieran & welcome. Don't despair, they'll have clocked where you live. Once the weather becomes colder & natural food is harder to find, they'll be back & trying to bankrupt you

Lots of thistles producing seed at the moment so they are spoilt for choice.
