Hi guys,
I wandered around Regents Park for ages today looking at things, and I got stuck on some birds.
First up is this goose thing, which was grazing with a barnacle goose:  
I've looked on the RSPB site, and in my guide, and I just can't find it!
Then there was this duck, is it maybe a pochard...? 
And finally this little brown bird. Is it a juvenile starling? It hopped aroud, and mainly held its tail angled upright. It was shyer than the adult starlings I'd seen earlier. 
Any help appreciated! |

Hi Spikey, the Goose is a bar-headed goose ....I think! I`ve only seen it at WWT sites. The second I think is a Pochard.

Thanks guys, turns out bar-headed goose isn't in my guide! I'm quite happy I got the pochard right, though. Hooray! |

Bar-headed Goose is an Asian species (they fly over the Himalayas) and a fairly common escapee around the UK. |

I was just reading on Wikipedia that they are one of the highest-flying birds in the world. That's incredible. | | |
