what else can i put in a peanut feeder?

Peanuts in the feeder go bad fast so
what else can i put in a peanut feeder?
This is the feeder:

I thought i could put in suet pellets or dried mealworms???

Suet pellets and dried mealworms will be worth trying, but might slip through the mesh. Suet balls also worth putting in. In addition, stuff like fresh apples, bananas, pears (especially over-ripe) can be tried. I have had lots of success with these, but it depends on which birds you want to attract.

Have you tried crushing the peanuts a bit, and not putting more than a quarter full container? Mix in a few sultanas, chopped apple bits or mealworms if you wish.
