| | | bright red head/ blue wings saw a bird while I was out today and just cant id it. I am guessing it must be a pet escapee as it was just so brightly coloured.
it was about blackbird size, bright red head with (blue tit type) blue either breast or wings. It was feeding in a farmers field when I saw it but it flew off. have tried to Id it but cant and now its bugging me. |

| | | Re: bright red head/ blue wings most likely an escapee but could be somthing like a scarlet rosefinch or a bluethroat(v unlikely) especially if the wings where as blue as you say.
