Hi There,
I'll second Hedera and say that it looks right for a Common Buzzard in its dark form you can just see the dark elbow patches.

what's this then, as i thought this was a buzzard. looks like two different birds to me but i may be wrong!  |

That is a buzzard too.
Buzzards just have very variable plumage.
