| | | What could this be At work yesterday a bird landed on the fence, at first I thought it was a Thrush, but it had a Yellow beak, medium length. a yellowish tinge to its chest, and pale yellow legs.
The rest of the bird was Thrush colouring.
Had a google and the nearest I coud find was this one Surfbirds - Online Guide to Birds of Britain and Europe
Any ideas? |

Any ideas? | So why not a Song Thrush? perhaps just one with a longer looking beak than normal?
It wouldn't have been a Stone Curlew, these are much larger and would not land on a fence. |

| | | Re: What could this be If it landed on fence it was defiantly not a Stone Curlew, I have never seen or even heard of one landing on anything other than flat open ground and it would not go within fifty metres of a hedge or fence.
If it looked like a Thrush it was probably either a Song or Mistle Thrush or a young male or well marked female Blackbird, I can’t really think of anything else it could be.
