small sharp beak
small light bird
with long body
the colour is blue grey
colour of a blue homing pigeon
there is black edging on its wings
that isthe only colour on it except the blue grey
i have been all over the world i think but no results |

was it flying /sitting
on the ground in a tree bush etc

| | | Re: here we go with my husbands bird again Rather an obscure description unfortunately - lots more detail would help as others have pointed out (including most importantly to start with a rough size estimate! - words like 'small', 'medium', 'large', 'big' etc are all relative, so an objective comparison with another bird that your Husband does have a good size estimate of would do for starters
Only loose possibles I can think of at the moment (bearing in mind that to the untrained eye, obvious features (like flank and rump colour and eye stripes etc) can often be missed and/or are not always immediately visible in the field especially if bird is moulting or juvenile are:
Young/moulting female Nuthatch Iris
Juvenile Wagtail Iris
Northern Wheatear Iris
Approx date of when the bird was seen would also be helpful |
