| | | Poorly cygnet Hi All
How long can a cygnet be separated from it's parents before they won't take it back? Reluctantly had to take one to the vets yesterday and would like to be able to return it to it's family if we can get it well in time.
Cheers |

| | | Re: Poorly cygnet Thanks Faz. By my reckoning (but only guestimate because the cygnet is from another reserve) the cygnet will be 6-8 weeks.
We want to try to avoid taking it to a rescue centre. The ideal scenario is that the vet gets it well and we release it back with it's family. At this stage we don't know what's wrong so don't know how long it needs to be kept, but the test results should be back tomorrow. I'm hoping that there's a bit of room to manoevre before it's too late. |

| | | Re: Poorly cygnet if its too long before u reintroduce the cygnet the parents or another pair of swans defending ther territory will attack or even kill the cygnet no more than a couple of days to be on the safe side even then it might be to late ?
