| | | Change of diet in my garden I glanced out of the landing window and noticed the woodpecker had arrived but noticed that she was on one of the perches quite low down the one which the robin and the dunnock usually favour. I thought oh I wish I was out there with my camera with her being so close and low down, anyway she continued to hop all around the feeders and she must have been on a mission because she eventually perched herself on the sunflower heart feeder and had a right good feed. This is the first time I have ever seen a woodpecker eat sunflower hearts. There were plenty of fat balls and peanuts but some reason she wanted the hearts. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
