| | What were those crows doing??
I was in the garden yesterday evening, and could hear crowing. I looked up and there were loads of crows (about 100), all flying westwardish (Not very good with compass points, sorry!)
What were they doing, and why? I'm presuming they'd come from our local country park - but where were they going to?
Many thanks for all your help!

I suspect they were en-route to a roosting site. They may also have been feeding in a group and disturbed, leaving together.
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: What were those crows doing?? Where I live in Greenford I see large numbers of both Crows + Wood Pigeons heading for roost. Over 1,000 of each roost in the nearby Perivale Wood Reserve.
Also regularly see + hear flocks of 100+ Ring-necked Parakeets flying to + from roost (possibly the Wormwood Scrubs roost) as well as Starlings + various gull species going to their respective roosts. |
