what is this bird ?

I kept thinking this as I have several adults in the garden but the more I looked the more I convinced myself it wasnt, the bars across its back seem to look much more pronounced compared to the adults I have so I talked myself out of it, thats what old age does to you ha ha, thanks a lot I'll stop pulling the hair out now.
