Red Kites
I have just read on the BBC Scottish News web site that several young Red Kites in the North of Scotland have died due to them eating rats that had previously been poisoned.

Two of 'our' kites were found poisoned in Hexham this year as well.

I cannot say on here how I feel about this (polite version, I'm peeved off!)

Im not to clued up on rodenticides but shouldnt they be none bioaccumulants, or are these still used? It wouldnt suprize me if the rats were deliberatly laced with poison to kill these birds.
