Sorry about the quality of images. Just a little to far for my lens. These are a major crop for ID purposes.
Saw a pair of these at Pagham, today. Never seen them before.
Lovely looking bird, Great colours.
The nearest looking bird that i can find is the Black tailed Godwit, Summer plumage.   |

Definitely Black Tailed Godwit,
At Belfast Harbour RSPB Reserve we're lucky enough to still have about a hundred of them resting up,along with about 50 of their Bar Tailed mates.

In late April we had over 2000 of them ....a great sight when giant flocks of
them would pile in at high tide in the estuary....particularly at twilight! |
