| | | sick wood pigeon Today I went out the front door, and there was a pigeon standing on the grass with its head drooping so that its beak rested on the ground. The only movement it made was the occassional blink. When I approached, it flew away erratically with its head still dangling. There was no sign of blood around the nose. Was it sick, stunned, or had it pulled a muscle in its neck?
I have had similar cases in chicken that I call 'starry gazey' where they appear to see everything upside down. I find it interesting. Anyone know any more about it? Has seen anything similar? |
