| | | Re: Mystery poop! Blimey, there's a sight.
I'm pretty sure its a bird dropping because of the white urates.
What bird leaves something like that is a mystery to me though. |

| | | Re: Mystery poop! ..Hi buteboy, could you do another photo with something by the poo, to give a better idea of size, 'cos clover leaves do vary in size. A coin would be OK.
I agree with Woodman for the reason he gave, that it does look like a 'bird' dropping'. Very interesting, I look forward to the 'experts' coming in with the answer...Oh, and Welcome to WAB...Posie.. |

| | | Re: Mystery poop! Thanks for the responses. Good idea posie! Next time it appears I'll put a coin next to the poop. I live on a small island on the west coast of scotland Isle of Bute no badgers on our wee island. Hedgehog theory sounds a maybe.

| | | Re: Mystery poop! I've found a similar one in my garden very recently and wondered what it was?
It appeared one morning but I have not seen any further similar droppings since.
Has anyone any more ideas please?

| | | Re: Mystery poop! Hi, no there are no pheasants, we're in the midst of an urban area and the garden has 6 foot high fencing around 3 sides and the house forms the 4th side so walk-in access is impossible for that sized creature.
Despite what the picture shows, it is a plant heaven frequented by a very wide number of "garden" birds but I have never seen game birds within several miles of us.
Having said there are no pheasants, it is just possible that the nocturnal visitor flew in very early I suppose?

| | | Re: Mystery poop! I'm convinced it's a bird dropping but it has me totally bamboozled. The conformity shows a small gut but a large mass, perhaps from a bird that's sitting on eggs. |
