| | | House Martin Rescue!!! We've got House Martins nesting above our flat and my girlfriend noticed earlier today that one of them was dangling upside down from the nest with it's leg caught up in something. I called the RSPCA and a few hours later a woman turned up who then phoned the fire brigade to come out.
We were a little worried that it may of broken it's leg from all the struggling that it had been doing but after a good looksy at it and removing the material wrapped around it's leg she was able to set it free, hurrah!!!! |

| | | Re: House Martin Rescue!!! It's leg was snared by some sort of material they had used for lining the nest, it looked a bit like cotton but the RSPCA woman said it was sort of plasticy. After the fireman fetched it down he went back up to cut the rest of it but he said the whole nest is full of the stuff so here's hoping that they don't get caught again, will be keeping an eye on them just in case........ | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
