Farming for birds

I guess many of us are familiar with the plight of what were once common breeding birds of our farmlands. Some of the huge declines in populations over the last few decades has been staggering.

However, this project does demonstrate what can be achieved for both farming and the environment .... good news .... especially if lessons can be learnt and rolled out more generally around the country.

Yes indeed Richard and I'm pleased to say that here in Cambridgeshire it appears that more and more farmers are taking a serious interest in the wildlife on their farms and in making provision for it - long may it continue
