| | | Re: Coot parenting that is normal behaviour for coots, only the strongest of the brood will survive, why they do it is unclear, sad but true. . once saw a family of 6 only 2 made it. the parents killed the others rossy. |

The juv just came over calling then bang!
I wonder if it was from a different brood. The parents were feeding other young but not sure if they feed this one or not. The young were also attempting to feed themselves.
