| | baby bird doing well, what now this morning i wke to find my cat had decimated a nest of birds, all dead apart from one who was unhurt just smaller than the rest, frozen stiff i rubbed the poor thing warm, put in a makeshift nest and fed in every 20 mins.meal worms and water via syringe.it has started to reconise me and the syringe and is feeding very well.but what now..it has next to no proper feathers, apart from the baby down,if it survives the weekend i will take it to the vet for a check up and maybe antibiotics, but then what? im stuck.i dont mind the little thing at all bu i feel guilty as it was my cat that killed its whole family... |

| | | Re: baby bird doing well, what now You need to keep it warm - it cannot regulate its own temperature and so will die of hypothermia unless kept above 30C.
Ring St Tiggywinkles (google them) to ask for advice. |

| | | Re: baby bird doing well,what now That's better.
Looks to me like a blackbird, I'm sure the experts will be along soon to advise on feeding. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
