Found a leg.....

Found a leg in the garden, and it has a blue leg ring with number. Possibly a racing pigeon but not sure. Any idea where I can found out its origin? Should probably tell appropriate person.

Number is GB 10 F 29852

if possible contact the rspb, they might be able to help, if its from a racing pigeon who knows how far its travelled, rossy.

is it a pigeon foot? i used to find alot of pigeon legs with rings on, also attatched to the pigeon.... and alive!

Take a look at the following website, click on the type of ring and follow any reporting instructions given.
Based on the description and number that you have given it does sound likely to be a racing pigeon.

Hi everyone. I joined a racing pigeon forum

and have found the owner. Just awaiting his call back to give the bad news. Its from the West Midlands, so a little off track I think. When I told his wife where I was calling from she just said "Oh Dear".
