At our local park pond, I think that the gulls had the rest of the birds eggs before they had time to hatch and this is the only one remaining

after watching various nature programs, i think you have a whole host of culprits, like crows, jackdaws, magpies,heron, weasels, stoats, mink, foxes, otters, though id be surprised if you had an otter on your pond , but if you have a river nearby who knows, lets hope your gosling makes it. rossy.
