Red Kite

Wow, a red kite landed in my garden this morning (first time in the 7 years I have lived here!). It picked up a dead mouse, swooped back up, and unfortunately dropped it in the pond!! Was going to put it back but cat saw it and wanted to play frisby.

It was an unbelievable experience!! Wow, must find a chicken carcass....

Superb I am seeing more and more round here but not in the garden

That was a close encounter that I wouldn't mind. They come quite close some days but never land.

I have just put the mouse back out coz' there are two or three flying low around the village. Camera next to me, and no cup of tea or plate of toast in my hand this time!!!

i just hope England don't score when he comes down....before or after would be fine!!!

That's fab

We get them round here flying over the house, but haven't seen one take anything from the garden as yet, even when we've left bits of chicken out on the bird table.
