| | | Questions with regards to a crow & sparrowhawk Ok i have two questions.
1. Today i saw a crow which had a white line on each of its wings, this was visable only on the upper wings when in flight.
2. Is it normal for a male and female sparrowhawk to be hunting in pairs at this time of year??
Thanks in advance |

For the Sparrowhawk, I would expect that they have young to feed and therefore they will both be out hunting , and sometimes they may be together. It is not something I have particularly seen before, but depending on how many young they have , they will be busy. Nice to see though

Martin | Ah yes silly me i was a little rushed. I was meant to ask what was up with the crow?
The hawks did seem to meet up and then separate before coming back together, the larger female was the one traveling the furthest distances, there was also some vocals between them. Both eventually flew off together - but not to far. |

I can certainly understand them wanting a break

I think it mine looked like a fledged bird whose feathers are not fully grown yet showing the white on the quills.
