wWho clever enough to ID this BOP? One of my over seas Flikr contacts asked me to help, but I havent got a clue. Hope someone can help?

Id guess the States, but Ive just mailed her to find out

It's a Red-tailed Hawk. Not an eagle, but a Buteo (like our Buzzard, but not their Buzzard, which is a New World Vulture!). They're common in North America.
