baby blackbird

hi just found a baby blackbird which had fell out of a bush in my garden dont know how long it had been there but looked very weak as it had a fair few feathers on ileft it and kept my eye on it for about an hour the femail bird kept flying down to it but it was not moving. i went back out after an hour to find the bird had fell over on the ground but it was still breathing i have put init in a box with some paper but dont know whether to put it back in the garden.can anybody help

You should never remove baby birds when parent bird is about. You could have placed it off the ground into nearby bush parent birds will find it. I think after taken it in this young blackbird will unfortunately die.

hi yhanks i have now taken the baby blackbird still in the box and left it near the bush .will check in the morning

Take it out of the box. It's effectively trapped in there, and it's an advert for a cat or other predator. Put it in a bush or thick cover.
