Can you identify this bird song?

Hi I keep hearing this bird singing in my garden. It's usually high up in the silver birch. I did see it happily singing away on the neighbours roof, its has a white maybe pale grey breast, black around the head and I think had some red marking around the face area. I'm not 100% sure as it was sat in bright sunlight and I'm a blind as a bat without my specs on. Hi Viks and welcome to WAB. From your description and the song, I would say that's a Goldfinch. They're lovely birds - I just had six on the feeders in the garden
