| | | You've been framed I don't know if anyone saw it earlier but there was a clip of a bird fishing--literally. it was dropping bits of bread into the water and as soon as a fish took the bait, it dived in and caught it.
Not sure what the bird was, possibly a cormorant, i was too engrossed in what it was doing to get a meal to take much notice of the species.
I just had a look and it is not viewable on itv player unfortunately.

| | | Re: You've been framed I didn't see the one you mention, but a few years ago there was a clip of a species of small heron in a Florida parkland pond doing the same. It was also shading the water with its wings so it could see the fish better.

| | | Re: You've been framed I did see it, but it didn't last long and I wasn't sure if it was a British bird. Long legged with a shortish sharp bill. Quite deliberately 'fishing' |

| | | Re: You've been framed There are quite a few clips on Youtube of birds fishing - not as good as this one though. Search on 'birds fishing with bread'... |

| | | Re: You've been framed Morning Ian,
I seem to remember having seen ths before, though I didn't last night. As I recall, it was a species of Heron in the US, and very interesting to watch.
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: You've been framed Thank you Lilac for providing the link, i didn't think to look anywhere other than ITV.
Thanks to Jason also for identifing the bird, i assumed quite wrongly that it was a British bird.
Good evening Jason.
