| | | green woodpecker saw a green woodpecker at my local fishing pond/wildlife sanctuary today!
i am new to photographing birds
any advice on how to find/attract the woodpecker to get him in my sights(camera sights that is!)
also will i need a hide ?
if so whats available.....i'm not too mobile these days due to a back injury so it would have to be something light and easy to erect |

| | | Re: green woodpecker Green Woodpeckers are very partial to ant hills, so if you can place a hide near some of these where you know the birds to be present, then with some patience you should be in luck. Ants are probably their favourite food.
In last decade or so the've even colonised the central Londo larger parks, following the Great-spotted into the smoke!
Good luck with your pictures! |
