Likelihood of Cornish Chough at the Lizard?

I am going to Cornwall for a bit of a break next week and will be visiting the Lizard. I wondered what were the chances of seeing Cornish Choughs.

I bet you would be 'chuffed' if you did. It is sad that they are a declining species in this country. I did see a documentary some time ago about conservationist blaming their decline on the lack of grazing animals on cliffs.

I went to a beautiful pace in Andalucia last year called Ronda; which is famous for its gorge and connecting bridges. There is a colony of about 100 choughs there and I have fond memories of being on a cafe terrace in brilliant sunshine with my binoculars watching the choughs and rock doves dodging peregrines and other raptors.

There are c20 Cornish Choughs with c8 on the Lizard, so you are in with a chance. Good luck!
