| | | Re: World cup/Swallows Why does an area have to be threatened before people seek it to be protected? Surely it should have been put under protection ages ago. |

| | | Re: World cup/Swallows When I was observing some bird ringing a while ago, the person in charge was telling me that swallows from England go to very specific reedbeds, from germany another and so on, and that differences can be detected in their call, accents if you like, so if their migratory patterns are that specific, a destruction of a particular area of reedbeds could take out our entire population. What are we doing to this planet? |

| | | Re: World cup/Swallows You've got the main point there - this is not to do with football but with airports. Why, in fact do they need a new internal airport anyway? It's a pity because the South African government has been doing a lot to build rail links to the stadia and around the country ... Quote:

| | | Re: World cup/Swallows I'm confused a little. I know the country isn't the poorest of places but.............
.............with a country that cannot house its population because of poverty, cannot feed it's population because of poverty, cannot give medical help to it's sick and disabled because of poverty, cannot supply unpolluted drinking water to it's people because of poverty, where does the billion or so pounds come from?
I can't quite put my finger on it but something stinks a little. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
