Heron

I visited Farmoor yesterday afternoon and was lucky enough to see a Heron, first visit there. Managed a couple of pictures, but at long distance.
Reason for post-i wondered if someone could tell me the best time of day to visit in order to have a chance of a closer view. Could be a silly question i suppose, as it could be a case of "the early bird catches etc"

hello good photos all i can say for heron is they are very warey of use so dont hang around for long to get in close is down to luck and steath as for time of day i dont know but i would go up and montiter them at diffrent times of the day i did this with my local heron and got this one
