| | | yellow bird in garden. ive just seen a yellow bird in my garden it was between the size of a sparrow and a blackbird. i only saw it in flight at about 15 meters im sure that it also had a bit of white on its wings. the tail also looked quite large.
my 1st thought was a escaped canary but was wondering if any 1 else had any other ideas.
thanks |

They show white bits as they fly and are slightly bigger than a sparrow, and are obviously yellow |

Canaries are finches so more likely to fly akin a Goldfinch or Linnet. The tail sounds different from your initial description.
Without a photo we won't get a definitive ID on this one! |

| | | Re: yellow bird in garden. I suggested a budgie because I had a young lutino - yellow - one in my garden which had escaped from a local breeder a couple of miles away. The long tail of yours and flight pattern seems to match.
