| | | Little owl - in the roof! I am SOOO excited I could explode!
Two years ago we had a beautiful little owl fledgling in the garden (named "Neneni" by my youngest), but we could never work out which tree it could have come from.
I posted this picture of it back then. Cute or what!
Today we worked it out - they are nesting in a closed off corner of the roof space! We sat outside this morning for a coffee and saw an adult flying out from under the eves. That is just so cool |

| | | Re: Little owl - in the roof! And here she is, our new fledgling, out "branching" the day she fledged (or should that be "roofing") The children decided to call her "Pocoli".
That was week before last, (sorry too busy to WAB until now) and since then I have heard her and her mum calling to each other across the fields on several occasions. (She makes a repeated hissing noise, and her mum calls back with a brief shriek).

| | | Re: Little owl - in the roof! Oh boy - I usually resist calling birds 'cute' but Little Owls are absolutely a favorite of mine. They always look as if they are standing on stilletto heels! Gorgeous! |
