Swallows' Progress!

Now that the Swallows have decided to take up residence just outside my kitchen door, I thought I'd record their progress as they build their nest.

Here is their first 7 days' work!

Brilliant - good luck with them. 'Our' swallow is quite happily sitting on her eggs in the passageway which is the main way in and out of our house. I still hang my washing out on the line in the passage and this does not disturb her.

Well I got dive-bombed by my swallows when I took the Day 3 nest picture (hence it being a bit blurred) but they seem to have chilled out a bit since then.

The photos from yesterday and today look much the same, so I think they must have finished the nest now (unless they are working on the interior, which I can't see).
