| | | will bees scare of my bluetits i remember reading on here a couple of months back that bees can scare of nesting bluetits, i put my nest box up several months ago in a cytissus battandieri (pineapple broom) which is now about to be in full bloom and swarming with bees, have i unwittingly done wrong.
the chicks (no idea how many , but sounds like thousands) are probably 10-11 days old and being fed by both parents.
when i erected the box it was obviously totally bare and freezing cold, any advice would be good.

| | | Re: will bees scare of my bluetits I think if they swarmed in the box you may have a problem but while they are flying about I think the tits will ignore them.
If they stay in the box, collect the honey then make some mead |

| | | Re: will bees scare of my bluetits good idea, im somewhat relieved as i have just been on elizabeths website, biggonline and someone with the same fear as me had taken a nestcam clip of what a bluetit did to an invader bee in their box, there was only one winner..
the mead might have to wait. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
