| | | halcyon river diaries has anybody on here watched the above named program on bbc 1 at 7 oclock on sundays ? fascinating stuff as kingfishers fighting, dippers fledging and no sooner out of the nest , a sparrowhawk has one, moorhens nesting up a tree to avoid predators only to lose all the chicks as they leave the nest, as the shock of jumping into the water from to high up, also a otter eating mallard chicks something i had not seen before, worth a watch as there is 2 shows to go. rossy. |

Did you see the man pick up the duckling and throw it towards its mum when it got lost? He said wildlife cameramen shouldnt get involved but he couldnt leave it! |

| | | Re: halcyon river diaries yes which is right , but how many of us would have done exactly the same as he did. its the otter that has shocked me, and if you watched sundays he didnt intervine when the moorhens lost all there chicks, good show roll on sunday, rossy. |

| | | Re: halcyon river diaries This idea of 'not interfering' always seems a little odd. As soon as we put a bird box up or throw a handful of grain on the lawn we are effectively interfering with nature. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
