Red kites in Merthyr
Saw my first Red Kite in Merthyr Tydfil Yesterday what a sight ! Has anyone else seen these birds in this area ?

I havent' but know they've been reported in the area. They've made it to my area of wales which is a bit further south than that near to Newport. I saw them flying above our old property a little over a year ago. Exciting stuff, I hope you get to see them more often

There's no science behind this whatsoever, but I've been watching the bird reports and May does seem to be a time when they like to wander.

Saw a pair two weeks ago over the Lower Tawe valley and I've had several sightings of single birds in the same area over the last six months.
