Mystery Skull
I found this skull whilst walking in some coniferous woodland in North Yorkshire recently but I'm baffled as to what it belonged to.

It is presumably from a bird as it is very light but is pretty big at 9cm long and 5cm across (height is 2cm).

Does anyone have any ideas please? Thanks

This is a bird pelvis, I believe.

I think you are right, which is why I was so stumped as to what sort of skull it was.

I guess the holes are the hip joints rather than the eye sockets. Thanks!!!

the little round holes are the hip joints. The bigger holes are just holes!

This mistake comes up a lot on here, so you're not alone.
