As you say, 'warms the cockles of your heart'. A 'must see' for any wild life fan.

This is what we want to see from more people across the UK. I myself am a volunteer for The Hawk Conservancy Trust in Andover, Hampshire and am lucky to have seen many similar stories of successful rescues. You may have seen recent news coverage on tv regarding their star Tawny Owl, Troy who was rescued as a fallen chick but sadly kept around the family too long and became imprinted.
A great story of humanity extending to the natural world. |

Many thanks for your positive responses. I think we are lucky here in the Channel Islands, that many, many people are wildlife enthusiasts. Whilst it may not always be possible to release rescued animals back to the wild, it's great to know there are people out there who are trying their best.
If only governments around the world would do more to ensure the continued well being of wildlife and habitat.
I will pass these kind comments on to all those involved in "Olly's" rescue.
Many thanks,
Slim |
