| | | Re: Tawny Owl? He is lovely isn't he. Caught me by surprise. He just looked really sleepy. I actually had to carry on walking past him as I hadn't got the camera out the bag. But when I went back, he was very compliant, although he did fly off eventually.
My biggest wish has always been to see an owl in a tree.......now I have seen it! |

| | | Re: Tawny Owl? This has been my wish too. A few weeks ago I was taking photos of berries and spooked an owl in the same tree. I didn't know it was there and missed the opportunity for a photo. It was the closest I had ever been to an owl and if he had remained still I would not have noticed him at all. I was very
disappointed.

| | | Re: Tawny Owl? We have Tawney owls in a small wood were we live, My husband videoed the female with 2 youmg ones up in the tree tops.He was really chuffed to see them.He whistled to her and she looked down didnt fly off great pics.

I have seen a few at distance recently where I live in Surrey but never as compliant as this. Lovely shots of a fantastic bird, certainly my favourite owl. |
