| | Impossible I.D? Please can anyone help I have been on the RSPB identifier to no avail.
My hubby and I caught the back of a bird flying away from our peanut feeder the other day, we where both perplexed as to what it was.
It was a bit bigger than a blackbird the wings and body where white / cream with a tan / brown colour down the middle of the back with white / cream edging and the same with the wings, the edge of the wings also where not straight but uneven - sort of feathered lol I don't know how else to explain sorry!
This morning going to work the same bird flew from the field past my car and this is where my trouble starts, it does not look like a bird that belongs around here, We have never come across it before.
Anyway if anyone can give me any suggestions I can google the pics.
Thanks |

| | | Re: Impossible I.D? Thanks Lance but definitely not a blackbird. These weren't random pigmentation markings but beautiful even colouring, I so hope we see it again, sometimes the pics on the RSPB identifier aren't that great so I was looking for roughly similar birds and then googling the pics of them - with no luck! |

| | | Re: Impossible I.D? Thanks, But I have ruled out a Mistle Thrush (and a field fare) as we had both of these in the garden during the really cold weather in January.
I've looked at photo's of Jay's but my mystery bird was more white with brown as opposed to brown with white!
I am only about 3miles from Martin Mere wildfowl trust so was wandering if it was some strange visiting bird, though why it would be hanging around my garden and the farmers field is beyond me! |

| | | Re: Impossible I.D? Umm,what about a Cockatiel,annies1,these are quite variable,a frequent escape that sometimes visits feeders.
