no blue tits but bees in my box !

after the blackbirds failed, i thought id be able to look forward to the blue tits, but whilst gardening yesterday saw a bee go in the box, had not seen much of the blue tits lately , and had hoped the female was on eggs , so to see the bee enter was a double blow, but these things happen, the box was empty and the nest was a new one, rossy.

The bees' nest was new?
It's not uncommon for bumble bees to adopt old birds nests but less so for them to take an empty box - too roomy for them.

no paul the i had cleaned the box out last year , the blue tits had built a new nest, but the bumble bee has taken over, rossy.
