One of my best wildlife experiences

Had one of my best wildlife experiences yesterday

Whilst driving down a country lane a bird flew out in front of me, i could see it was a bird of prey but wasn't quite sure what.
So i put my foot down trying to keep up with it & hoping to get a better look.
After about 20 seconds another bird flew out of the hedgerow & the bird of prey flew at it & picked it out the air
At first i didn't think he got it but then i could see it hanging in his talons, it was killed instantly.
After a couple more seconds he flew away, i think it may have been a peregrine or merlin not 100% sure.

Just wish i had a camcorder on the dashboard

What about a Sparrowhawk- sounds like classic behaviour for this species.

No, at first i thought Peregrine but it was quite small thats why i'm edging towards Merlin
