Friendly Chaffinches

We have a chaffinch that perches on the window ledge and looks in, he's not at all shy!
Meanwhile a couple of hundred miles away, whilst camping in the Lake District camping a couple of weeks ago we heard a bird outside our tent, and guess what? It was a chaffinch, he was demanding something to eat! We fed him; at about the same time every afternoon he would return - it was really sweet.
Back in Berks/Oxon:
Just now, whilst working from home, there was a tap tapping at the window in the next room - I knew who it was without looking - there he was a little chaffinch, looking in at the dog on the sofa!
I've had friendly robins before, but the chaffinches seem to be pretty communicative this year :-)

i had one male chaffinch virtuly eating out of my hand today. This was not a domesticated garden bird, but one way out in mosslands, regards mike

We too have a cheeky chaffinch, he perches on the windowsill & has a right nosey in!
