| | | Re: first filming of booming bittern uk last year i went up to leighton moss , and heard a bittern but didnt see it, and on tuesday the bbc had the presenter up and they had no luck, but she blew into a bottle to mimmick the call, and reckons thats what they sound like, they really are an illusive bird , but others on here have seen them at other reserves. rossy. |

Not the first time the Beeb have claimed a first for something that is no such thing!

I am pretty sure I have seen film of Bitterns booming in Norfolk
