male chaffinch display.....amazing
in all my years as a naturalist and ecologist, i had never seen a male chaffinch displaying to a female before the other day.

Like many other birds I assumed mate selection was based on song or plumage or both but this male chaffinch performed an incredible dance and song to a female.

Anyone else seen this before and if so, where you impressed like I was?
