| | | Robin nest help please Hi
I need some advice please. A little Robin has made her nest in our campsite utility room on top of a wall cupboard, the door is always open so she has no problem getting in and out. She has some eggs in her nest and I have no problem leaving her there but I'm worried people using the campsite utility room will disturb her or worse. It's ok at the moment as the campsite is quiet but it's due to get busier as the weeks go on and I don't know what to do for the best.
Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance!! |

Are you sure all the campsite visitors can be trusted? You would need to put up a notice about the robin, so that they don't smoke or play loud transistors or start screaming at each other around the nest. On most camp sites I think, people would be responsible and careful, if they knew she was there. Campers tend to be nice people usually. |

| | | Re: Robin nest help please From my experience, once the eggs hatch then the robin can tolerate an amazing amount of disturbance. You always hear in the news of robin nests in the most odd places, even in tractors etc that are often moved.
It's the nest building/incubation period where you're most likely to scare her off.
