Birds nesting. Unuesal locations

A wren is busily constructing a nest in my garden. In a childs play house, right above the door.

The playhouse is wooden and backs onto a wood. I cleared last Autumn's leaves next to the playhouse. And the Wren is using these to construct its nest on a small ledge.

I am worried about the safety if a female does lay some eggs. As squirrels are endemic to the garden and woods. Also we have foxes and cats running through.

I guess I will let nature take its course. And any thoughts would be appreciated. Where is the most unuesal place you have seen a birds nest ?.

Hi Richard, There is another thread running on this called "strangest places for a nest" I think.

Anyway we have blue tits feeding young in a street light, the light is larger than the house and stopped working 4 weeks ago, probably not a coincidence.

Its in full sun all day but has a pale plastic casing so hopefully they will not roast in there, the next challenge will be fledging, its either fly or fall

I hope someone does not come to fix it either, if its opened up the whole nest will fall i think.

Anyway we will be observing, and hopefully see a good outcome!
