OK, no photos, but down at Middleton RSPB reserve yesterday and heard our first Cuckoo of 2010. Tried to get photo whilst calling but alas no luck. Walked on for half an hour then met up with Dave and his wife...low an behold we got two males in full dog fight for two minutes right above us...truely amazing. |

I have just heard a cuckoo this afternoon in west wales. Last year did not hear any. So they are arriving into different parts of the British Isles.

Heard my first of the year yesterday whilst out in the Peak District nr Fox House. Came from down the valley so no visual.

I was very surprised because I heard my first a couple of weeks ago, in the same place we heard our first last year

We heard our first cuckoo yesterday as well in the forest of Dean, we couldn`t find it though but it was lovely to hear it. | | |
